Girls just want to have fun -- and that's exactly what Kim Kardashian and La La Vasquez set out to do on Friday, March 1. The pregnant reality star, 32, and Vasquez, 33, hit the town with radio DJ Angie Martinez and designer Rachel Roy in Beverly Hills, where they feasted at celebrity hotspot Nobu.
Vasquez, who is married to New York Knicks player Carmelo Anthony, went patriotic in a red, white, and blue-striped minidress. Kardashian, meanwhile, opted for curve-hugging black pants, a loose-fitting tee, and a blush-colored tuxedo jacket with black lapels.
Earlier in the day, the designer talked about about her approach to maternity fashion in a new "mommy blog" post on her website. Specifically, she addressed the challenges she's faced in dressing her changing body during these first months of pregnancy. (The Kourtney & Kim Take Miami star is due to give birth to her first child with boyfriend Kanye West in July.)
"For me, I've found that I've gained inches and I've gotten wider but my belly hasn't popped yet, so I struggle finding things that don't make me look heavy," the mom-to-be explained of her recent style choices, which have included metallic peplum pants and a see-through black shirt. "Some days my baby bump really shows, and some days it doesn't...so I never really know what I'm going to look like."
"At this stage, I guess I'm more focused on concealing the weight gain than I am about dressing the bump, just because it hasn't popped yet," she added. "Once I start showing more, I'll be all about showing off my bump, and I can't wait!"
In the meantime, she's happy to keep experimenting with different looks. "I'm definitely having a lot of fun with my maternity fashion," Kardashian concluded. "[I] love trying new things."
